CHAPTER 1.

ICARUS

“I’ve been looking for the answers in the words you don’t say/take me back to my grave/if you don’t care anyways.” Out next Friday, June 12th, ICARUS is the official first chapter in a song cycle I’ve dubbed LIGHTBRINGER. It’s about taking that first step into the unknown to chase your dreams, and the pain and regret that comes with that. Leaping into the unknown sometimes feels like a free fall, and oftentimes feels like a crash out, and ICARUS is that crash out — when you decide to push aside your fear and doubt and keep marching forward anyways, even if it means leaving parts of yourself in the dark.

If you’re reading this, it means you’ve been really supportive of my art, and I’m deeply grateful and appreciative of you. I wanted to share the song with you as a thank you before I announce it and as a reminder of how much I value you. I’m also sharing with you the Prologue to the short book I’m writing to accompany this project that I’ll be releasing as zines with each release. Again, thank you for being here and I’m wishing you all the light and life in the world.
